Earlier this year, Cadillac unveiled the high-performance 2020 Cadillac CT4-V and CT5-V, two new performance-oriented cars as a part of Cadillac’s own V-Series performance sub-brand.
The CT5 was a recent addition to Cadillac’s sedan lineup, and the CT4 is a newcomer altogether. That makes us even more excited to see how the performance variants ride. According to Cadillac, both models will come standard with a number of performance-enhancing features, including Brembo front brakes with eBoost electronic assist, Magnetic Ride Control 4.0, and a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The CT4-V and CT5-V will be available on either a rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive platform. The 2020 Cadillac CT4-V will boast a limited-slip rear differential while the CT5-V will come with an electronic limited-slip differential.
For enhanced safety, drivers will be able to opt for the Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance technology, which can be used on more than 130,000 miles of freeway in the United States and Canada.
“The new lineup expands the V-Series ethos, drawing more customers into the Cadillac Performance family, and the newest Vs are focused on elevated athleticism and luxurious refinement for customers wanting a dynamic daily drive,” remarked Mark Reuss, GM president. “And this is only the beginning of the V family. Cadillac’s passion for performance shines on a racetrack. Stay tuned.”
The CT4-V will take its power from a high-output 2.7-liter turbo engine that generates 320 horsepower. The CT5-V will instead be powered by a high-output 3.0-liter twin turbo V6 engine that pumps out 355 horsepower.
