Earlier this fall, the new 2020 Cadillac CT5 sedan made its Chinese debut at the Chengdu Motor Show. The CT5 had previously been unveiled here in the States during the New York International Auto Show in the spring.
This new CT5 sedan slots right between the CT4, Cadillac’s small luxury sedan, and the CT6, Cadillac’s large luxury sedan. The 2020 CT5 carries over a lot of the design elements we saw in Cadillac’s famous Escala concept, which was meant to hint at the future design direction of Cadillac’s sedans.
Under the hood of the 2020 Cadillac CT5 lurks a 2.0-liter twin-scroll turbo four-cylinder engine, which is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Cadillac has not yet released performance figures for the sedan.
But we do know that the CT5 sedan will boast a 10-inch high-def touch-screen display, which can be managed using the new rotary controller for the Cadillac user experience. Also standard for the Cadillac CT5 will be Sound Optimization with Active Noise Cancellation and an array of advanced safety technologies, such as Automatic Emergency Braking and Forward Collision Alert. Available features include wireless charging and Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert.
The 2020 Cadillac CT5 goes on sale in China later this year. There are plenty exciting Cadillac models and new packages to celebrate here in America, though. Stop by Atzenhoffer Cadillac to witness them in person.
