Washing & Cleaning Your Car

Spring is just around the corner, and that means that you’ll need to start thinking about spring cleaning. Here are some car care hacks for the new season.

1.No-Smudge Wipers

For no-smudge windshield wipers during the rainy season, wipe them down with rubbing alcohol.

2. Homemade Air Fresheners

Instead of buying air fresheners, simply pop some laundry scent balls into a mason jar. It’s a cute and convenient way to keep the car smelling fresh.

3. Cupcake Cupholders

Line your cupholders with those silicone cupcake liners. They’re cute, washable, and catch crumbs and dirt.

4. Clean Upholstery

Clean your seats with a mixture of vinegar and baking soda. Scrub it in and then rinse it out for like-new seats.

5. Squeegee Away

If you have pet hair in your car, just spray a light water mist over the seats and run a squeegee over it to lift up the hair.

6. Brush the Dust

If you have old makeup brushes, use them to dust the nooks and crannies of your dashboard and other interior elements.

7. Trash Container

Instead of just having a plastic bag for trash, use a sealed plastic container, like a plastic cereal box, to keep it tucked away until you can empty it.

8. Toothpaste for Headlights

Using a little bit of toothpaste on a rag (and then wiping it off with water) cleans your headlights and improves visibility.

9. Shower Caddy Clutter

Shower caddies are a smart way to organize and/or store odds and ends on road trips or daily commutes, and it keeps items from rolling around.

10. Condition Your Car

Use a lanolin-based hair conditioner to give your car’s exterior a nice shine and finish after a car wash.
